Air filters are absolutely essential if you want to keep your bike running at its peak performance. As the name suggests, an air filter stops any unwanted particles, including dirt and dust from being able to enter your engine. In a lot of cases, they are made out of a foam-like material, but it is possible for you to find them made out of a huge range of materials. If you do not clean or change out your air filter on a regular basis, then you may find that dirt and dust builds up and that your engine doesn’t get the clean air that it ultimately requires.
